These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Find My Chef (“Find My Chef”, “we”, “us”), operated by [legal entity name], registered at [registered address]. By creating an account or booking through our platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. Who can use Find My Chef
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
2. The service
We provide a platform where customers can discover chefs, request bookings, pay securely, and communicate about a booking, and where chefs can list services and receive payouts. The contract for the cooking service itself is between the customer and the chef. We are not a party to it and are not responsible for a chef’s performance, though we provide the tools and payment protection described in these Terms.
3. Bookings and quotes
When you request a booking, the price is calculated from the chef’s service and the details you provide (guest count, date, and any options). That quote is fixed for your booking. A booking is confirmed once payment is captured.
4. Payments, fees and payouts
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your card details. When a booking is confirmed we capture the total, which includes the chef’s price and a Find My Chef service fee. We hold these funds and release the chef’s earnings to their connected Stripe account after the booking is completed. The service fee is what allows us to run the platform, payment protection and support.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. The policy that applies to a booking is shown before you book.
6. Chefs (independent contractors)
If you offer services as a chef, you agree that you:
- are an independent contractor and solely responsible for your own taxes, insurance and any licences or food-safety registrations your jurisdiction requires;
- will describe your services accurately and honour confirmed bookings;
- will prepare food safely and disclose allergens and ingredients when asked;
- are responsible for the quality and legality of the services you provide.

As a customer you agree to:
- provide an accurate address, guest count and any dietary requirements or allergies;
- provide a safe environment and a usable kitchen for the chef;
- be present (or arrange for an adult to be present) for the booking.

You must not use Find My Chef to:
- break the law or facilitate anything illegal;
- arrange or take payment for a booking outside the platform;
- harass, discriminate against or endanger another person;
- post false, misleading or infringing content, or impersonate anyone;
- interfere with, scrape or attempt to compromise the platform.
10. Reviews and content
You retain ownership of content you submit (reviews, listings, photos), and grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display it in connection with the service. Content must be accurate and must not infringe anyone’s rights.
11. Disclaimers
The platform is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Because chefs are independent, we do not warrant the quality, safety or legality of any cooking service booked through the platform.
12. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Find My Chef is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Find My Chef against claims arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the platform.
14. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to users or the platform.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [governing jurisdiction], and disputes are subject to the courts of [governing jurisdiction], without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights you have where you live.
16. Changes
